Momin Saqib: ETH has struggled to meet cycle narratives due to macro and institutional factors
ETH underperforms as cycle expectations fade

Momin Saqib points out that ETH has underperformed relative to the narratives surrounding it during most of the current cycle.

He attributes this in part to broader macroeconomic conditions and in part to the absence of a neutral, credible counterpart to guide institutions through the Ethereum ecosystem.

Saqib has highlighted market confidence issues before, such as when Opus 4.8 exposed vulnerabilities that led to billions in ZEC losses. He also recently noted that BTC fell below $69,000 amid geopolitical tensions and major AI IPOs drawing liquidity.
