BTDR boosts ASIC mining in Texas

Matthew Sigel reports that BTDR is deploying more homemade ASIC machines into Soluna's wind-powered Dory Creek data center in Texas.

He notes that Soluna manages the site, power, and operations, while BTDR provides the mining equipment, with both parties agreeing to a 50/50 revenue split and a capacity increase of more than 7MW.

Sigel previously discussed BTBT’s move to create a strategic asset company category for comparison with DATs and ETFs, as detailed here. He has also reported on Blackstone’s expanded AI TPU investment plans, raising its commitment from $5 billion to several multiples, which is outlined in this article. These developments indicate continued interest in large-scale infrastructure and technology investments.
