Bitcoin trades at 20 oz per BTC, Adam Livingston notes
Bitcoin 50 percent below gold peak

Bitcoin is currently priced at 20.0 ounces of gold per BTC, representing a 50% decline from its all-time high of 40.1 ounces in December 2024.

Adam Livingston stated that every previous BTC/gold cycle has recovered to its all-time high between days 1,109 and 1,141 after the peak. He noted that this cycle's comparable window falls between December 2027 and February 2028. A return to the prior high would reflect a 101% gain versus gold, implying a BTC price near $164,000.

Livingston has previously assessed Bitcoin’s long-term prospects using millions of simulations, indicating that its next cycle could be exponentially larger, according to a prior analysis. He has also reported on JPMorgan’s formal review of Bitcoin’s performance and Fidelity’s research into Bitcoin-backed preferred stock as an emerging channel, detailed in an earlier article. These views have contributed to ongoing discussions about Bitcoin’s trajectory in both traditional and digital asset markets.
