Bitwise sets Bitcoin bear case at $130,000

Bitwise has published its bull, base, and bear cases for Bitcoin in 2036, with the bear case scenario placing the price at $130,000.

Natalie Brunell noted that both she and Lyn Alden agree something would have gone seriously wrong if Bitcoin reaches only $130,000 in ten years. Brunell also invited Alden to share her own predictions.

Brunell previously announced an upcoming explainer video on Social Security and U.S. unfunded liabilities, set to premiere next week (details here). Eric Balchunas recently said his mother called Bitcoin "funny money from space" and continues to recommend only a small allocation (full story). These comments come amid continued debate over Bitcoin’s long-term role in portfolios.
