Value stocks top growth by record spread

Value stocks are now outperforming growth stocks by over 30 percentage points in 2026. According to Charlie Bilello, Chief Market Strategist at Creative Planning, this would mark a record spread, exceeding the gap seen in 2000 when the Dot-Com Bubble burst.

Bilello also questioned whether this signals the beginning of a major shift in market leadership.

Earlier this year, Bilello reported that Bitcoin and gold posted the largest declines among major assets in 2026. He also noted that Tesla's Q3 revenue was flat at $28 billion, with net income falling 43%. These observations come amid continued focus on shifts in major asset classes.
