AI product debuts and UK contract met with institutional flows but selling persists

Salesforce launched the AI-powered outbound agent Hunter and Agentforce, introducing enhanced integrations with partners such as Demandbase, ZoomInfo, and Docusign. The company completed its acquisition of the Loops AI platform as part of its expansion into generative AI. Salesforce also secured a £2 billion contract in the UK and recorded new equity stakes from institutional investors, though price action has remained under broader selling pressure.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, sees the recent 2.77% drop in Salesforce as a warning signal that enthusiasm for new product launches may be fading fast. He highlights that, despite strong institutional interest and bullish technicals, initial selling pressure after the AI announcements suggests investor skepticism about near-term upside potential. The drop near intraday lows with overbought oscillators points to possible exhaustion among buyers. Kharitonov emphasizes that momentum is at risk, especially if support at $238.73 fails. In his own words: "The market’s reaction shows that even robust fundamentals can’t always counteract profit-taking, and any breach of key support levels could open the door to more aggressive selling."
Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, remains optimistic about Salesforce’s outlook. He notes the company’s strategic AI launches, new UK contract, and growing institutional stakes reinforce a fundamentally strong bullish scenario. Karapetjanc sees the technical setup holding above all moving averages as confirmation that the uptrend is intact. He expects further growth as product innovation attracts new market opportunities. "The bullish structure remains intact, and I see strong prospects for Salesforce to break higher in the coming sessions," he says.
Jainam Mehta, market strategist, interprets Salesforce’s price action as a classic volatility-driven pullback amid broader market pressures. He believes sideways consolidation is most likely, but identifies potential for a tactical breakout if $247.65 is breached. Mehta points out that elevated RSI and volatility could fuel fast, contrarian trades both ways. "Traders should focus on breakout and breakdown levels for responsive, scenario-based positioning this week," he advises.

Bullish trend sustained above key averages amid overbought signals and volatility

Salesforce is trading at $239.85, positioned above the 20-day ($233.06), 50-day ($229.02), and 200-day ($199.16) moving averages, confirming a bullish short-, medium-, and long-term structure. The nearest resistance is identified at the Ichimoku Kijun of $241.36, while immediate support stands at the session low of $238.73. Momentum remains positive with the MACD on a buy signal, though the ADX at 16.02 indicates a neutral, non-trending environment. Oscillators flag overbought signals, with RSI at 61.52 (buy), Stochastic RSI at 100, CCI at 147.7, and Bull/Bear Power at 12.26 all highlighting dominant intraday buying. The Awesome Oscillator is neutral. After an early upside gap of about $1.20 (0.49%), the stock has dropped $6.85 (2.77%) and trades near intraday lows, with intraday volatility at 3.84% and clear pressure after the open.

Earlier, analysts noted that Salesforce maintained a bullish technical structure supported by growth initiatives and major contract wins, despite short-term consolidation. The latest technical setup reinforces this outlook, with a strong probability of an upward move and a bullish breakout signaled by sustained price action above $247.65.
