Venture Capital and Entrepreneurial Support by Walter Kortschak

Walter Kortschak is a veteran venture capitalist who spent three decades at Summit Partners, where he led or co-led more than 70 investments and 60 successful exits. His portfolio includes major names such as Palantir, The Trade Desk, Lyft, and Twitter. He has appeared on the Forbes Midas List six times and is known for his thesis-driven approach to investing.

Today, Kortschak heads Kortschak Investments and serves as Executive Chairman of SignalFire, a San Francisco-based VC firm that leverages AI to monitor and support its portfolio. SignalFire manages more than $1.4 billion in assets and has backed companies like Grammarly, Frame.io, and Flock Safety.

Despite his focus on cutting-edge technology, Kortschak has not publicly supported or invested in crypto. Neither his personal investments nor SignalFire’s portfolio include blockchain protocols or crypto-native startups. His focus remains on AI, SaaS, security, and infrastructure with defensible intellectual property.
