Dell shareholders approve Texas move

Dell Technologies has received approval from 97% of its shareholders to officially move its legal home to Texas.

Michael Dell announced the decision, stating that Texas offers the talent, universities, and environment needed for long-term growth. He described the move as a return to the company's roots in the state. The outcome reinforces Dell's longstanding relationship with Texas and comes as the company aims to strengthen its position in the business landscape of the U.S.

Michael Dell previously highlighted the company’s Texas origins in a reflection on Dell Computer’s $85 million public debut 38 years ago. Dell Technologies has also maintained a leading position in global enterprise data storage, with a 31.2 percent market share supporting AI adoption. The company’s latest move follows decades of expansion from its Texas foundation.
