Key features of the investment themes widget
According to Interactive Brokers, the widget introduces several tools designed to improve portfolio analysis and monitoring. Themes are displayed in a prioritized view, automatically sorted by strength and portfolio weight, ensuring the most influential themes appear first.
Users can also conduct drill-down analysis, expanding any theme to view the underlying companies and each firm’s relative ranking within that theme. This allows investors to see precisely which positions are driving thematic exposure.
In addition, the widget includes performance tracking, displaying unrealized profit and loss figures at the company level. This enables users to monitor how individual holdings contribute to theme-based performance over time. Any positions that do not map to predefined themes are listed separately, providing complete portfolio coverage and avoiding blind spots in analysis.
