Interactive Brokers expands Client Portal for mobile with Investment Themes tools
Interactive Brokers has rolled out a series of upgrades to its Client Portal, aiming to improve accessibility and workflow efficiency for traders who increasingly manage portfolios on the move.

Client portal optimized for mobile use
According to the company, the Client Portal is now fully optimized for mobile devices, delivering app-like performance directly from a device’s home screen without requiring a download. Users can access the platform through a web browser, reducing friction for those who prefer not to install or regularly update mobile applications.
The mobile-optimized interface allows clients to monitor accounts, review positions, and manage trades with improved responsiveness. Interactive Brokers noted that users can choose between the Client Portal, desktop platforms, or mobile apps depending on individual trading needs, offering greater flexibility across devices.
Watchlist support for Investment Themes
In addition to mobile enhancements, Interactive Brokers has expanded watchlist capabilities by allowing traders to add all or selected companies from an Investment Theme to a watchlist in just a few clicks. Investment Themes group securities around trends such as technology innovation, energy transition, or regional growth, helping traders identify opportunities aligned with broader market narratives.
The new functionality reduces manual effort for users who previously had to add securities one by one, making it easier to monitor theme-based strategies and react to market developments.
