BitMart released an official correction addressing inaccurate information that identified Jessica Yang as a co-founder or member of the founding team. The statement clarifies that BitMart was founded in August 2017, while Yang joined the company in August 2019 in the CEO’s Office, subsequently advanced to senior executive roles including Chief Operating Officer, and departed in December 2024.

BitMart’s announcement, dated May 14, 2026 and published on May 15, 2026, states that any description of Yang as a co-founder is factually incorrect and should be corrected. The company added that it will continue to monitor and rectify similar inaccuracies as needed, and expressed appreciation for Yang’s contributions during her tenure.
