Bitfinex highlighted its Margin Funding feature, which allows users to specify their own lending rates and durations ranging from 2 to 120 days, matching offers directly with traders through its peer-to-peer funding order book.
Bitfinex has outlined details of its Margin Funding feature, which allows users to act as lenders by specifying their own interest rates and loan durations from 2 to 120 days. Funding offers created by users are listed in a peer-to-peer order book and matched directly with margin traders seeking to borrow funds.
Access to this feature requires at least Intermediate account verification (or Basic Plus for older accounts), and lenders set the rate, duration, and amount for each offer. Interest on active loans accrues daily and is subject to platform fees, with a standard rate of 15% on interest earned and an 18% fee for hidden funding offers.
To use the Margin Funding feature on Bitfinex, ensure your account has Intermediate verification (or Basic Plus if registered before March 1, 2022). Deposit funds, then transfer them to your Funding Wallet. Navigate to the Funding page, set your preferred interest rate, lending duration (2–120 days), and amount, and submit your offer to the Funding Order Book for matching. Interested users can begin by registering or logging in via the official sign-up link.
