Gate.io has announced the introduction of USD-denominated trading pairs on its Gate US platform, allowing compliant U.S. users to trade cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana directly with U.S. dollars without needing to convert funds to stablecoins. The announcement also details Gate Group's compliance operations, highlighting regulatory approvals and licenses in multiple jurisdictions including MiCA and Payment Institution licenses in Malta, VASP licenses in Dubai, AUSTRAC registration in Australia, and 35 state-level money transmitter licenses covering 46 U.S. jurisdictions, as well as the acquisition of a licensed Japanese crypto exchange.
