Bitfinex introduces daily interest payouts for margin lending service
Bitfinex has updated its margin lending service to credit interest to users' accounts daily at approximately 01:30 UTC, enabling more frequent payouts compared to previous models.

Bitfinex has implemented a new schedule for margin lending (margin funding) interest payouts, now crediting interest to users’ accounts daily at approximately 01:30 UTC. This update replaces the previous system of monthly or withdrawal-triggered payouts, allowing lenders to receive earned interest more frequently.
The margin lending service operates via a peer-to-peer marketplace, where users retain ownership of their funds while specifying loan amount, interest rate type, and duration. Credited interest is subject to a commission (typically 15% for standard offers, or 18% for hidden offers) and is reflected in the 'Ledgers' as a margin funding payment. Users who created accounts after March 1, 2022, are required to complete Intermediate verification or higher to access margin funding.
Bitfinex is a cryptocurrency exchange that supports trading in major digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and a variety of crypto and fiat currency pairs.
