Bybit announced its plans to transition into a regulated global financial platform by 2026, introducing new infrastructure for local access, banking, and integration of traditional and digital finance services.
Bybit has announced a strategic transition planned for 2026, shifting from a crypto exchange to a regulated global financial infrastructure referred to as the 'New Financial Platform.' According to the broker, this transformation will feature new local banking layers such as MyBank for retail services and ByCustody for institutional-grade asset protection, along with expanded traditional finance (TradFi) offerings and integrated AI-driven tools. Bybit reports that its platform infrastructure currently supports wide access, with connections to approximately 2,000 local banks, over 58 fiat gateways, and issued more than 2.7 million Bybit Cards. The company also states that it is collaborating with licensed banks and custodians to increase regulatory compliance and aims to use blockchain-enabled solutions to serve a global user base, particularly the underbanked population.
