According to Bitget’s official update, withdrawals will be reactivated in a phased manner after the security breach identified on September 24, which resulted in unauthorized transfers totaling approximately $387.5 million from the broker’s hot wallets. The broker stated that the vulnerability responsible for the incident has been remediated and that all attack vectors have been contained, with no further unauthorized transfers possible. Bitget’s support page details the affected assets—which include XRP, ETH, USDT, ZEC, USDC, XAUt, BNB, AVAX, and TRX across several major networks—and outlines ongoing collaboration with cybersecurity firms Mandiant and SlowMist for investigation and recovery. A Recovery Bounty Program has been introduced for voluntary contributions that directly assist in freezing or recovering assets, while real-time fund tracing is available through a dashboard and API.
