Bitfinex announced that customers holding Solana (SOL) in their accounts can earn weekly staking rewards with no lockup period or need to run a validator node. The platform handles the technical aspects of staking, and rewards are distributed automatically based on user balances.
Bitfinex has provided details about its Solana (SOL) soft-staking program, enabling users to earn estimated annual rewards of up to 3% simply by holding SOL in their exchange accounts. There is no lockup period, no minimum staking requirement, and users are not required to set up validator nodes—Bitfinex manages all technical staking operations on users’ behalf. Staking rewards are distributed weekly based on mid-week balance snapshots, with tokens remaining available for withdrawal or trading at any time except in circumstances where withdrawal demand exceeds unstaked holdings. The service charges no explicit fees, but Bitfinex retains an undisclosed portion of the staking rewards as its service fee.
