Gate.io has announced the official launch of Gate Money, an integrated financial platform introduced on October 7, 2026 during the TOKEN2049 keynote. Gate Money enables users to hold, manage, transfer, convert, spend, and earn multiple asset types—including fiat currencies, digital assets, tokenized stocks, ETFs, and gold—within a single account, and provides features such as global electronic bank accounts, stablecoin-enabled cross-border payments, and yield-earning options for eligible balances. The launch marks Gate.io’s expansion from a trading-focused service to a broader financial platform, aiming to unify asset management and payments for users globally. The company states the platform is supported by regulatory licenses in over 80 jurisdictions and partnerships with financial institutions, with Executive Director Edwin Cheung highlighting payments and stablecoins as key to crypto’s next phase of growth.

Gate.io is a multifunctional cryptocurrency trading platform offering spot and margin trading, futures, ETFs, and access to a range of digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, and its proprietary GateToken (GT). The exchange features cloud mining, lending and borrowing systems, an interactive educational portal, and a user-friendly TradingView terminal, as well as a multilingual technical support team available 24/7.
