ChargePoint Holdings, Inc. has launched a NACS cable conversion kit designed for its Home Flex chargers, allowing electric vehicle owners to easily upgrade their existing home charging stations as the EV industry shifts toward the new NACS standard.
The company’s announcement reassures customers that those adding a Tesla or other NACS-compatible EV to their garage do not need to replace their entire charging station. Instead, the cable conversion kit provides a cost-effective upgrade, aligning with current changes in the electric vehicle charging landscape.
ChargePoint previously launched its Home Flex charger, offering 50 amp adjustable power with dual connector options for EV owners seeking flexible charging solutions, according to an earlier company announcement. Another update introduced a NEMA 3R-rated version of the Home Flex for enhanced durability and all-weather operation, as detailed in a subsequent release. The new NACS cable conversion kit builds on these enhancements to address emerging standards in the EV sector.
