Lexicon SONATA-HCM trial advances

Lexicon Pharmaceuticals is moving forward with the SONATA-HCM Phase 3 clinical trial, focusing on its dual SGLT1/SGLT2 inhibitor for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).

The trial and broader HCM research pipeline were discussed by Dr. Ahmad Masri in a recent episode with HCMA, highlighting evolving approaches in HCM treatment and the potential impact of innovative therapies targeting patients with this condition.

Lexicon Pharmaceuticals recently presented new SOTA‑P‑CARDIA Chapter 2 trial data in HFpEF at ACC26, extending prior findings on its pipeline therapies.[1] The company also shared SCORED trial data at ACC26, detailing cardiovascular outcomes in type 2 diabetes and kidney disease.[2] These studies reflect Lexicon's active involvement in cardiovascular clinical research.
