BlackSky Technology secures nearly 30 million dollar one year defense contract after rapid customer scale up
BlackSky Technology has won a nearly 30 million dollar, one year Assured contract from an international defense customer.
The customer moved from a six figure Early Access pilot program to a substantial subscription agreement in less than six months, driven by an urgent requirement for real time space based tactical intelligence. The rapid scale up highlights a growing demand for advanced satellite imagery and analytics solutions among defense clients globally.
BlackSky recently secured a $25 million multi-year deal to boost a defense client’s national space capabilities, according to a previous contract announcement. The company is also scheduled to showcase its AI-enabled Spectra intelligence platform at the GEOINT Symposium 2026, offering live demonstrations for sector professionals, as outlined in a separate event preview. Both moves build on BlackSky’s expanding global defense portfolio.
