Tillamook Dairy has achieved a significant transformation in its supply chain, according to Logility Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. The company solved the complex challenge of forecasting demand eight years in advance, reaching forecast accuracy between 70 and 85 percent.
This achievement allowed Tillamook Dairy to reduce spoilage costs by 4.2 million dollars, slash inventory by 75 percent, and sustain annual growth of 8 percent for 11 consecutive years. The case showcases how advanced supply chain analytics can substantially improve operational performance in the food industry.
Logility previously reported that 44 percent of firms have deployed AI in their supply chains, outpacing adoption in finance, HR, and procurement sectors, according to company data. In a separate update, the company noted that 65 percent of supply chain professionals now require AI and GenAI in technology choices, based on a recent survey. The figures reflect the growing role of advanced analytics in industry operations.
