OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Voice in its desktop application, enhancing user experience with voice-powered controls.

The new feature allows users to operate their computers and manage multiple AI agents through ChatGPT Work or Codex using only voice commands. ChatGPT Voice is powered by GPT-Live technology, enabling real-time speaking, listening, and multi-agent coordination within the app. The rollout is global and begins immediately, marking a significant step in integrating advanced voice AI into everyday workflows.

The rollout follows OpenAI’s recent launch of GPT-5.6 Luna, which reduced AI usage costs by 25 times compared to the previous model.
