Hawaiian Electric will implement partial lane closures on Kalanianaole Highway near Kalani High School on Tuesday, July 28, and Wednesday, July 29, to facilitate the upgrade of four utility poles.
The far-right westbound lane will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on both days, starting near the east driveway to Kalani High School and extending just past Kalaniiki. Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays in the affected area during these hours.
Hawaiian Electric has also advanced its Hawaii Powered vision, seeking public engagement to reach 100 percent local clean energy. A separate report highlighted how a team-oriented culture and scenic work sites contribute to workplace satisfaction at the company. These initiatives follow a series of infrastructure and operational improvements across the utility.
