Intuitive Machines, Inc. has reached a key development milestone for its upcoming IM3 mission by successfully completing long range thermal vacuum testing of the Nova-C Navigation Pod.

The tests were conducted at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center inside the X-Ray Cryogenic Facility, which is recognized as the world’s largest X-ray testing facility. This step is critical in validating the spacecraft component’s performance in the extreme conditions it will face in space, supporting preparations for the IM3 lunar mission. Details on the next phases of integration and mission timeline are expected as preparations progress.

Earlier this year, Intuitive Machines finalized its acquisition of Goonhilly and COMSAT to strengthen its space network for Moon Base and future missions, according to company disclosures. Following the news, shares of Intuitive Machines traded at $13.1, up 6.1% on the day after the expansion announcement. The company continues development work ahead of its next lunar mission.
