Babcock & Wilcox boosts boiler conversion

Babcock & Wilcox has broadened its offering in boiler gas conversion technology following the integration of FPS into its business portfolio. The company now delivers complete expertise, including ignition equipment, flame scanners, natural gas piping design and fabrication, burner management systems, combustion control systems, and the process of managing local regulatory approvals.

This move is aimed at enhancing Babcock & Wilcox's ability to serve customers requiring sophisticated boiler conversions to natural gas, further establishing a comprehensive solution set in the energy and industrial markets.

Babcock & Wilcox's portfolio expansion follows other recent initiatives by the company. Earlier this year, its ClimateBright technology was featured in the Global CCS Institute 2026 report for advancing carbon capture solutions. The firm's Akron-based finance team also focused on collaboration through meetings and team-building events at headquarters.
