CME Group stock started the session with a gap down from $282.05 to $278.86 and has since retraced part of that move. The price remains above its MA-20, MA-50, and MA-200, preserving a bullish daily structure. RSI at 60.7 is approaching overbought territory, which can make further gains harder to sustain.
Traders should watch for a close above $289.03 to confirm buyers are willing to extend the move, or a drop below $278.79 to show rejection. Shares opened with a move down from $282.05 to $278.86 before reclaiming some of those losses during the session. Even so, over the next five trading days, there is a 79% probability of upside versus a 21% chance of downside within an expected range of $275.32 to $287.25. The recent move lower across the past week is not yet confirmed. On the weekly chart, the longer-term picture remains constructive.
Previously it was reported that CME Group surpassed a milestone in AUD/USD futures open interest, reflecting robust activity and liquidity across its derivatives products. The new record in asset manager open interest further strengthens CME's leadership in institutional risk transfer, with the prevailing scenario warranting attention to potential shifts should the price move beyond recently tested support or resistance levels.
