First Symvess case deployed at Sacred Heart Emerald Coast
Symvess debut in Florida

Humacyte announced that the first commercial Symvess procedure in Florida has been performed at Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Destin. The procedure was carried out by Dr. Geoff Risley of Coastal Vascular and Interventional.

The company expressed appreciation to Dr. Risley and the clinical team for their role in expanding access to the Symvess product in the region.

The procedure follows recent regulatory developments for the company’s lead product. Earlier this year, the FDA authorized Humacyte to extend Symvess shelf life to 36 months, supporting hospitals with longer storage and improved preparedness. The extension aims to facilitate broader access and inventory management for healthcare providers.
