Hut 8 has introduced its first AI data center project at the River Bend site in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. The company hosted an event titled 'First Look,' offering partners, investors, community leaders, and media a firsthand tour of the campus, which is currently under construction.

The initiative marks Hut 8’s entry into AI data center development, further expanding its footprint beyond its core business. The event provided insight into the company’s vision for the facility, underscoring its commitment to technology infrastructure in the region.

Earlier this year, Hut 8 closed a $1.07 billion four-year credit facility to increase its liquidity for future projects. The company cited ongoing development and growth as the primary use for the expanded funding. This financing positions Hut 8 to advance initiatives such as the new AI data center in Louisiana.
