Ribbon Communications unveils deepfake tool

Ribbon Communications has unveiled Ribbon Call Trust Deepfake Detection, a new artificial intelligence-powered solution designed to identify and stop deepfake calls at the network core.

The company positions this software as a direct response to growing concerns over voice-based fraud and vishing attacks, leveraging advanced AI capabilities to protect telecommunications infrastructure.

Ribbon Communications has previously focused on infrastructure modernization through projects such as its partnership with MTA to upgrade communications systems. The company also entered an agreement to provide network modernization for the NYC MTA, supporting 70,000 employees and millions of daily customers. These initiatives reflect its emphasis on strengthening telecommunications networks for large-scale operators.
