Ouster unveils BlueCity for safety

Ouster has highlighted the capabilities of its BlueCity platform, which enables continuous monitoring of near-miss incidents at intersections under all lighting and weather conditions.

The company shared a recording of a specific 6 AM near-miss event, emphasizing that BlueCity logs granular data on each road user's speed and location. This approach aims to provide safety insights ahead of actual accidents, offering proactive data for urban planning and traffic interventions.

Ouster previously conducted a live demonstration of its BlueCity lidar system at intersections in partnership with Gangneung City, as reported during the ITS World Congress in South Korea (Ouster and Gangneung City partner to demo live lidar-powered intersection safety at ITS World Congress in South Korea). The company has also achieved BABA compliance for BlueCity, easing procurement for U.S. federal transportation projects (Ouster's BlueCity lidar traffic system achieves BABA compliance, easing procurement for U.S. federal transportation projects). These developments mark continued efforts to expand BlueCity deployment in both domestic and international markets.
