Ouster secures critical BABA compliance path for BlueCity deployment
Ouster BlueCity achieves BABA compliance

Ouster has announced that its lidar-based traffic management solution, BlueCity, is now compliant with the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act for federal transportation projects as of October 1, 2026.

This compliance provides a direct path for Ouster's products to be procured for federally funded infrastructure programs, marking a key operational milestone for the company in the U.S. transportation sector.

Ouster previously launched the Rev8 OS1 Max lidar to meet domestic sourcing requirements for U.S. infrastructure and defense projects, as detailed in an earlier product announcement. The company also introduced an SDK feature designed to make exporting lidar data more efficient for GIS and point cloud applications, according to a separate update. These developments support Ouster's efforts to align with federal procurement standards.
