Ouster unveils SDK lidar export

Ouster has introduced new functionality in its SDK that allows survey teams to export raw lidar flight data directly into file formats compatible with GIS and point cloud software.

The SDK workflow supports running SLAM on recorded data and saving the registered map with a single command, improving efficiency for professionals who do not use traditional lidar viewers.

Ouster recently launched the Rev8 OS1 Max lidar to address U.S. infrastructure and defense mapping needs as regulations increase demand for domestic sourcing, according to a previous report. The company also introduced the Stereolabs unified driver to bring Nvidia JetPack 7.2 support to ZED X GMSL cameras and AVerMedia boards, as detailed in earlier coverage. These updates underscore Ouster's ongoing product development for mapping and sensor integration.
