Ouster has introduced the Rev8 OS1 Max lidar, specifically designed for U.S. infrastructure and defense mapping applications. The product highlights its range, density, and native color as key features sought in survey work.

Ouster points to increasing regulatory scrutiny over foreign-manufactured lidar in North America and Europe, positioning its domestically sourced solution as meeting rising procurement standards.

Ouster previously expanded its software capabilities with Ouster Studio, enabling instant 3D map generation from lidar files without external SLAM processing. The company also previewed its BlueCity platform with real-time intersection analytics and safety alerts at ITS California. These releases highlight a focus on integrated mapping and analytics solutions for infrastructure applications.
