Ribbon Communications deploys optical solutions with Comm1 to modernize network infrastructure

Ribbon Communications announced that Comm1 is deploying its optical solutions to increase network capacity and support modernization efforts.

The enhanced architecture is aimed at delivering a more flexible transport layer to accommodate growing traffic, mobile backhaul, and cloud-connected services.

Ribbon Communications recently partnered with MTA to modernize communications infrastructure for North America's largest transport network, according to a previous report (link). The company also introduced an AI-based product aimed at detecting and blocking deepfake calls in response to a rise in vishing attacks (link). These initiatives reflect ongoing efforts to strengthen both capacity and security in network services.
