Michael Saylor’s company, Strategy, has completed a $2 billion private offering of convertible senior notes, using the proceeds to acquire 20,356 Bitcoin for approximately $1.99 billion.

This latest purchase brings the firm’s total Bitcoin holdings to 499,096 BTC, valued at over $47 billion at current market prices, according to the Cryptopolitan.

The notes, which mature in 2030, carry a 0% coupon and can be converted into Strategy’s Class A common stock at a price of $433.43 per share—35% above the current market value.

Investors will have the option to convert their notes starting in late 2029, while Strategy retains the right to redeem them under specific conditions after 2027.

A bold bet on Bitcoin’s future

This acquisition is part of Strategy’s ambitious “21/21 Plan,” which seeks to raise $42 billion over three years to increase its Bitcoin reserves. The company has already secured $20 billion, largely through debt and convertible note offerings.

Michael Saylor, co-founder and executive chairman of Strategy, confirmed the latest purchase on his X account, stating, “As of 2/23/2025, we hodl 499,096 $BTC acquired for ~$33.1 billion at ~$66,357 per Bitcoin.” This means Strategy now controls more than 2.3% of Bitcoin’s total supply.

Despite the firm’s aggressive accumulation, Wall Street remains cautious. Strategy’s stock has seen volatility, recently dropping 7.5% to $299.69. While its shares are down 30% from their peak in November, they remain up over 700% in the past three years.

As Strategy pushes forward with its Bitcoin-centered strategy, the company’s growing holdings continue to solidify its status as one of the most significant institutional players in the cryptocurrency space.

Recently, Strategy (MSTR) has entered the top 100 publicly traded U.S. companies, ranking 97th overall. This milestone follows a 12% surge in its stock price to $430 per share, driven by Bitcoin's all-time high.
