Bitcoin is trading cautiously as investors await today's Federal Reserve policy decision. Markets overwhelmingly expect the Fed to leave interest rates unchanged, meaning the announcement itself is unlikely to become a major catalyst for digital assets. Instead, attention will shift to Chair Kevin Warsh's comments on inflation, economic growth and the future path of monetary policy.

Any indication that interest rates could remain elevated for longer would likely support the U.S. dollar and weigh on risk assets, including Bitcoin.
At the same time, recent U.S. macroeconomic data continue to paint a mixed picture. The economy remains resilient, while inflation has moderated but has not yet returned convincingly to the Fed's target. As a result, investors are reluctant to build aggressive positions ahead of clearer guidance from the central bank.
Geopolitical risks continue to influence market sentiment
The conflict in the Middle East remains an important source of uncertainty across financial markets. Although Bitcoin is often promoted as a hedge against geopolitical instability, recent trading suggests that it continues to behave primarily as a risk-sensitive asset. Periods of escalating tensions have generally supported demand for the U.S. dollar and traditional safe havens rather than cryptocurrencies.
Institutional interest nevertheless remains constructive over the longer term. Spot Bitcoin ETFs continue to provide an important source of structural demand, even though inflows have moderated compared with earlier in the summer. Market participants are also monitoring regulatory developments in the United States, where institutional adoption remains a key long-term driver for the digital asset sector.
Bitcoin remains trapped below key resistance
The technical picture suggests that Bitcoin has stabilized following the latest pullback, but buyers have yet to regain full control. As the chart shows, the price has recovered from recent lows and is once again testing the $64,000-64,500 region. However, repeated failures to establish a sustained move above this area indicate that bullish momentum remains limited ahead of the Fed meeting.
Immediate support is located around $63,500, followed by the stronger $63,000 zone. A decisive break below these levels would increase the risk of another decline toward $62,000-61,500. On the upside, as I noted in Bitcoin loses momentum as macro uncertainty caps recovery, a sustained move above $64,500 would expose $65,500-66,000, while only a break above that resistance would improve the broader technical outlook and strengthen the case for a renewed advance.
