ETH stays range-bound as August ETF inflows accelerate
Ethereum remains without a major new fundamental catalyst, while institutional demand through spot ETFs continues to strengthen. At the same time, ETH remains trapped within the $1,850–1,950 range, and low volatility is increasing the importance of the eventual breakout.
The main short-term factor remains capital flows into spot ETFs. According to SoSoValue, net inflows into U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs accelerated to $92.1 million on August 6. This suggests that institutional demand remains resilient even in the absence of a strong directional move in ETH itself.
Total inflows during the first days of August reached $195.3 million, already significantly exceeding the $27.4 million recorded for the whole of July. This points to a noticeable recovery in investor interest in ETH despite the continued price consolidation.

The $1,850–1,950 range continues to define ETH’s next move
Ethereum’s technical setup has changed little over the past 24 hours. ETH continues to trade within the previously identified $1,850–1,950 range, keeping yesterday’s scenario intact.A sustained move above $1,950 would open the way toward the psychological $2,000 level. A breakout above this threshold could force some short sellers to close their positions and accelerate the advance toward $2,100.
The downside scenario also remains unchanged. A sustained break below $1,850 would significantly increase selling pressure and bring the $1,700 target back into focus.
Low volatility keeps the spring compressed
ETH’s 30-day volatility remains near 1.80%, staying at relatively low levels. As the price continues to move within a narrow range, the “spring” remains compressed, increasing the probability of a sharper move once the consolidation ends. This makes the $1,850 and $1,950 boundaries even more important. A breakout beyond either level could signal an expansion in volatility and the beginning of the next directional move.
