DoubleZero expands market data offering with Kalshi election contracts
Election contracts boost DoubleZero

As institutions prepare for the November midterm elections, DoubleZero Edge is adding political prediction market data to broaden access to event-driven trading signals. The move brings Kalshi’s elections and politics markets onto the platform, extending DoubleZero’s coverage beyond sports event contracts and crypto perpetual futures.

Highlights

  • DoubleZero Foundation integrated Kalshi’s elections and politics markets into DoubleZero Edge on Wednesday, expanding prediction market data access before the November midterms.
  • Prediction market activity in the U.S. surpassed the 2024 cycle, with over $133 million traded in certain election races as of mid-August, per Reuters.
  • DoubleZero’s offering now includes political prediction contracts, broadening beyond sports and crypto, as institutions leverage real-time signals to price risk and manage exposure.

Election market data rollout before midterms

As reported by The Block, citing DoubleZero Foundation, Kalshi’s elections and politics markets went live on DoubleZero Edge on Wednesday, giving firms wider access to prediction market data ahead of the November midterms.

The addition comes as prediction markets continue to gain traction in the U.S. after flourishing during the 2024 election cycle. Platforms such as Kalshi and Polymarket have since surged in scale, with valuations now reaching tens of billions of dollars.

Andy Ross, head of institutional at Kalshi, said in a statement that election markets provide institutions with a real-time, tradable view of shifting expectations as political events unfold. He said easier integration of Kalshi’s political market data into institutional workflows gives firms another tool to price risk, manage exposure and adjust positions as expectations change.

Institutional demand lifts prediction market activity

Activity in U.S. prediction markets has already outpaced the 2024 election cycle, with more than $133 million traded in certain races as of mid-August, according to Reuters reporting.

DoubleZero said the expansion arrives as election-driven trading volume continues to climb before the November 3 midterms and as institutions increasingly use prediction markets for real-time signals on political and economic outcomes. The launch also widens DoubleZero’s reach beyond its existing offering of sports event contracts and crypto perpetual futures.

The New Hampshire Senate race has become a pivotal midterm battleground after Republican John E. Sununu won his party’s primary and advanced to face Democrat Chris Pappas on Nov. 3. Our earlier article noted that the contest is central to Republicans’ effort to defend their 53–47 Senate majority, while Democrats see the state as a tougher hurdle amid broader political headwinds.
