Weekly inflows reverse bitcoin funds' 2026 deficit
As reported by The Block, citing its analysis of SoSoValue data, investors add $2.4 billion to U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs in the week ending Sept. 25, the strongest weekly inflow since October 2025. The move pushes year-to-date net flows to about $934.1 million, after the category was still down roughly $5.8 billion as recently as July 13.Most of last week's buying arrives on Monday, when the 12 publicly traded bitcoin ETFs tracked by SoSoValue draw $999.0 million. That is their largest daily inflow since Oct. 6, 2025, and the ninth-largest single day since the products launched in January 2024.
Cumulative net inflows since launch now stand at $57.6 billion, while net assets total $108.4 billion as of Friday. Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas says the turnaround is linked to the Treasury Department's plan to increase buybacks of long-dated bonds.
Ether funds rebound as crypto demand broadens
Spot ether ETFs also recover, drawing $689.9 million over the same period after posting about $140.0 million in net outflows a week earlier. The reversal suggests investor appetite is extending beyond bitcoin as crypto fund flows improve. The latest gains mark a notable shift from the weaker conditions seen earlier in the summer. For the digital asset investment sector, the turnaround indicates that listed crypto products are continuing to attract capital even after periods of volatility.

We also noted that while rising yields can improve return prospects for long-duration bond investors, they simultaneously lift borrowing costs across mortgages, auto loans, and corporate credit—potentially pressuring equities and other risk assets.
