Quarterly metrics show network expansion

As reported by The Block, citing TRON DAO, findings from Token Terminal's TRON Q3 2026 report show the network reaches record levels in stablecoin supply, transfer volume and transaction activity during the quarter.

Average stablecoin supply stands at $92.25 billion in Q3 2026, up 4.18% quarter on quarter and 14.58% year on year, while quarter-end supply reaches $93.88 billion. TRON also surpasses Ethereum as the largest network for USDT supply, averaging $90.75 billion and representing 49.49% of USDT across tracked blockchains.

Stablecoin transfer volume totals $2.18 trillion, up 4.17% from the previous quarter, and the number of stablecoin holders rises to a record 76.53 million. Transaction activity remains elevated at 1.08 billion transactions in Q3, a 31.19% increase from a year earlier.

Institutional access and sector implications

TRON says institutional adoption accelerates through several channels, including the launch of Canary Capital's Staked TRX ETF, staking access through Anchorage Digital and futures trading on Bitnomial. Separately, USDT on TRON becomes available to eligible Bitstamp clients.

The report says TRON generates $693.21 million in revenue, accounting for 93.18% of tracked layer 1 and layer 2 network revenue, while average transaction fees decline to $0.64. Monthly active users reach a record quarterly average of 17.81 million, up 8.71% quarter on quarter and 21.86% year on year.

Looking ahead, TRON says it remains focused on expanding stablecoin payments, strengthening institutional infrastructure and supporting use cases tied to real-world assets and the AI economy. The network also points to integration into Polygon Labs' Open Money Stack, wider developer access through Luganodes and ongoing work on post-quantum signature support.

We also noted that AI-focused and identity security companies attracted much of the capital, alongside increased consolidation through major acquisitions as firms positioned for rising AI-era risk and demand.
