XRP price prediction: Can $1.184 support prevent further losses?
XRP is back under heavy pressure as a broader risk-off move and leveraged liquidations overwhelm positive network developments. Holding $1.184 is now critical, with a breakdown exposing the $1.145–1.118 support zone.
U.S. stocks suffered a broad selloff on November 5. Concerns over tighter regulation of the AI industry following the Democratic election victory added pressure to technology stocks.
The weakness quickly spread to cryptocurrencies, triggering forced liquidations of highly leveraged positions. According to CoinGlass, total liquidations reached $1.26 billion over 24 hours, with $1.12 billion coming from long positions.
Crypto.news, on the other hand, announced the activation of the fixCleanup3_4_0 update to the XRP Ledger. This update will take care of the security flaw that could potentially make it possible for tokens to be issued without proper authorization. The issue did not affect XRP itself, but the upgrade has so far done little to improve market sentiment.

A break below $1.184 could expose XRP to further losses
XRP fully completed the scenario outlined previously. The price managed to hold above the 200-day SMA and tested resistance at $1.327.
The subsequent liquidation wave, however, pushed XRP down toward support at $1.184, another level identified in the previous scenario.
For now, $1.184 is the key level to watch. A break below it followed by a sustained move lower could accelerate the decline toward the $1.145–1.118 support zone.
If $1.184 holds, buyers could attempt to push the price back into the $1.248–1.272 range. Given the current macroeconomic and geopolitical risks, however, that scenario appears less likely for now.
Market uncertainty keeps XRP recovery prospects limited
Despite the technical improvements to the XRP Ledger, XRP’s short-term performance remains heavily dependent on broader crypto-market sentiment. Concerns over new regulatory restrictions in the U.S. and persistent geopolitical instability could trigger further reductions in exposure to risk assets.
Under these conditions, even a short-term rebound in XRP would not yet confirm that the correction is over.
