But we saved everything 🙂.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has removed delay notices on at least 16 pending applications for spot crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs), a move that could reshape the digital asset investment landscape.
The updated generic listing standards signal the agency’s readiness to make final decisions in October, potentially unleashing a wave of new ETFs tied to Solana, XRP, Litecoin, Cardano, and even Dogecoin.
Major financial firms, including Bitwise, VanEck, Fidelity, Franklin, WisdomTree, CoinShares, Invesco Galaxy, 21Shares, and Canary, have all filed S-1 amendments to align with the SEC’s new framework. These amendments reflect the regulator’s shift toward a more structured approval process, suggesting that previously drawn-out timelines for crypto ETFs may be coming to an end.
The next several weeks are considered critical for the crypto industry. Canary’s spot Litecoin ETF filing is up first, followed by proposals covering Solana, XRP, Cardano, Hedera, and Dogecoin. According to Nate Geraci, president of ETF Store, the coming month could be “enormous” for spot crypto ETFs, with the SEC free to approve any or all of the filings at its discretion.

If approved, these ETFs would mark a pivotal expansion of regulated crypto investment products in the U.S. and could accelerate mainstream adoption. Beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum—already the backbone of existing spot ETFs—the inclusion of altcoins and memecoins would provide investors broader exposure to the digital asset market.
Market analysts suggest that approvals could trigger significant inflows into these tokens, as ETFs provide a regulated, accessible avenue for both institutional and retail investors. At the same time, the SEC’s actions may signal a more open regulatory stance toward crypto after years of caution.
With October deadlines rapidly approaching, industry participants are closely watching how the SEC balances investor protection with innovation. The decisions, expected within weeks, may set the tone for the next stage of crypto’s integration into traditional finance.
