Highlights

  • AUD/THB trades above the 20-, 50-, and 200-day moving averages, confirming bullish momentum across all timeframes.
  • Momentum indicators support a buy outlook, but overbought signals and intraday pressure suggest bullish momentum may be cooling.
  • The forecast range for the next five days is ฿23.476 to ฿23.712, with a ceiling at ฿23.644 and a floor at ฿23.578.
Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, notes the AUD/THB pair is losing momentum despite buyers maintaining some control. He sees risk from stretched technicals and a lack of supportive news, which could trigger further cooling. The move below recent highs and an overbought Stochastic RSI signal rising vulnerability. Volatility has increased with intraday pressure emerging, while the short-term model's downward bias adds to the caution. "With no clear fundamental drivers, traders should be wary of a potential deeper pullback below ฿23.578 in the coming sessions," says Kharitonov.
Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, highlights the bullish structure across multiple moving averages for AUD/THB. He believes the technical setup points toward further gains as buyers remain dominant. The current alignment suggests opportunities for upside moves, especially if the pair breaks above ฿23.644. Despite missing news, forward-looking signals remain positive with trend strength intact. "The market offers multiple setups for growth, and I expect further upward progress as long as key support above ฿23.578 holds," Karapetjanc says.
Sholanke Dele, market strategist, observes that AUD/THB is retreating from overbought conditions with volatility picking up. He sees downside threats growing as bullish sentiment shows signs of exhaustion. The session’s lows and a negative gap highlight increasing seller resolve. "Unless buyers push decisively above ฿23.644, the risk of a breakdown below ฿23.578 is too strong to ignore," Dele warns.

Buyers dominate despite overbought signals as bullish structure persists

AUD/THB is trading above the 20-, 50-, and 200-day moving averages at ฿23.594, with the price positioned above the MA-20 (฿23.546), MA-50 (฿23.578), and MA-200 (฿23.281). This structure signals short-, medium-, and long-term bullish momentum, confirmed by bullish alignment between MA-50 and MA-200. Immediate levels to watch are the near-term ceiling at ฿23.644 and the near-term floor at ฿23.578, with the Ichimoku Kijun (฿23.476) offering additional support. Momentum readings indicate buyers dominate today’s session: the Relative Strength Index (RSI) sits at 60.608 (“Buy”), MACD remains positive, and the Average Directional Index (ADX) signals trend strength. Stochastic RSI reads 83.98 (“Overbought”), while the Commodity Channel Index (CCI) and Bull/Bear Power (BBP) both support a “Buy” outlook. BBP at 0.13 shows buyers are in control intraday, though the overbought Stochastic RSI hints at stretched conditions. The Awesome Oscillator confirms positive momentum. The pair slipped ฿0.141 or 0.59% with a downside gap of about 0.68%, trading near the day’s low. Intraday volatility stands at 1.19%. The tone shows some pressure after the open, which matches the strong but possibly cooling bullish momentum.

Earlier, analysts noted that downside risks were coming to the fore for AUD/THB, with caution prevailing amid technical and policy uncertainty. The current setup signals that while bullish momentum remains supported, monitoring for a potential breakout above ฿23.644 or a slip below ฿23.578 will be critical in identifying the next directional move.
