Morpho faces $1 million exposure after KelpDAO/Aave hack, Laura Shin notes
Morpho left mostly unscathed after exploit

Laura Shin, industry influencer, reports that Morpho suffered just $1 million in exposure following a major exploit where Lazarus drained $300 million from KelpDAO and Aave.

Shin discussed the situation with Paul Frambot, exploring why Morpho remained largely unscathed by the incident, what institutional investors are thinking amid such events, and whether DeFi can adapt before regulators step in.

Shin previously reported on how Arbitrum executed a freeze on assets linked to North Korea while leaving other users unaffected. The case involved technical interventions to isolate suspicious funds. Earlier this year, Arbitrum’s security council froze $70 million tied to DPRK in a pivotal crypto security move.
