Adam Khoo, executive chairman and co-founder at Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group, questions the common perception that the S&P 500 index is dominated by only seven companies, often known as the 'Mag 7'.
Khoo argues that the real influence of the Mag 7 extends much further, noting that Alphabet alone has acquired 270 businesses. He adds that if YouTube, just one of Alphabet's holdings, were spun off it would rank among the top 20 U.S. stocks by market size.
Khoo has previously highlighted shifts in major asset allocations, noting that Berkshire Hathaway accumulated $397 billion in cash after selling stocks over 14 consecutive quarters. In a separate warning, he suggested that AI Capex stocks may face a 50 percent correction. Khoo expects that any such pullback could prompt a move into non-AI sectors.
