StarCraft event paid 25 BTC to 5th to 8th place in 2011, Davinci Jeremie notes
StarCraft 2011 BTC prize soars

Davinci Jeremie, crypto influencer, recounts that in a 2011 StarCraft tournament, participants finishing 5th to 8th were awarded 25 BTC each. At the time, this payout was valued at just $41.

Jeremie points out that with the growth of the cryptocurrency market, the same 25 BTC would now be worth $2,131,500.

Jeremie has commented previously that the BTC to gold ratio may have reached a cycle low, citing a forecast made earlier this year (link). He also warned that U.S. Federal Reserve money printing could erase decades of work, highlighting Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation (link). These remarks came as Bitcoin has drawn increased attention from traditional and crypto investors alike.
