Crypto scams see $800 million restrained

Jeanine Pirro reports from Lisbon while attending the Global Anti-Scam Alliance Summit, where she is sharing experiences from the Scam Center Strike Force.

Pirro highlights joint efforts with private industry that have resulted in the restraint of nearly $800 million in cryptocurrency connected to scams and the shutdown of over 500 fraudulent scam websites.

Pirro previously reported that a scam center task force froze $3.8 million in stolen cryptocurrency and disrupted 1.4 million scam accounts, according to an earlier update. At a separate D.C. conference, she brought together government and private industry partners to address cyber and crypto investment scams, as noted in her recent coverage. These efforts build on a coordinated approach between public agencies and the private sector.
