Ripple CEO faults Strategy Bitcoin model

Jacob King, CEO at WhaleWire, reports that Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has criticized Strategy’s Bitcoin accumulation model in an interview with CNBC.

Garlinghouse pointed to STRC trading about 25% below par, calling it a “damning indictment” of Strategy’s approach and suggesting it has hurt the market.

King earlier reported that Strategy posted a record $12 billion unrealized Bitcoin loss after a BTC sale, marking its largest to date. In a separate note, he cited a 65% probability that Bitcoin could trade below $50,000 in 2026, pointing to ongoing risks in the space. Further details on the loss are available here, while King's price prediction is covered here.
