Antoni has recently commented on economic trends beyond monetary policy. He noted that U.S. utility prices fell 1.5% since the Iran war began, attributing the decline to a surplus in natural gas and low export levels. In a separate observation, he reported that jobless claims remain below prior-year levels despite a recent uptick.
